Stock Quote Web PartThe Stock Quote Web Part for SharePoint allows organizations to display a company stock quote, a market index listing, or a portfolio watch list on their SharePoint portal. This is useful to a company wanting to provide users an individual company stock price on their home page.

The Stock Quote Web Part also a benefit to financial services firms where a wider range of stock quotes are needed. In addition, individual SharePoint users can also be granted the permission to create their own personal stock watch lists.

- Stock chart option showing stock performance over intra-day, 5 day, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, year-to-date, and 1 year.
- Display market summary index information option. Web Part Administrator selects the market indexes that are shown.
- Set a default stock symbol so the Web Part always shows this default stock quote.
- View related news feeds for watch list stocks.
- Set which stocks users watch OR allow users to create their own stock watch list.
- Configure the Web Part so that only the stock symbol lookup is displayed on a page.
- Returns partial match search results when looking up the name of a company you don???t know the stock symbol for.

The Stock Quote Web Part displays stock information such as a stock quote, chart showing stock performance over time, market indexes both foreign and US, stock watch list, and news. You can also set your Stock Quote Web Part to default to a particular stock as well as perform a stock symbol lookup search.

From the Web Part tool pane, Administrators can choose to show the Stock Chart, select Market Indexes, and/or the Stock Watch List. Set the default stock symbol that is displayed when users navigate to this Web Part. In addition, you can choose to allow users to create their own Stock Watch Lists or you can specify a set of stocks that you want to display in the Stock Watch List for all users. You can also size the Stock Chart up or down to fit your view.

Users can also view news feeds for specified stocks, and a list of possible matches when they search for a company stock symbol name.

For large organizations who want to keep their employees up-to-date on their stock and market performance. SharePoint Administrators who need to build a one-stop-shop portal where users can get the information they are most interested in on a daily basis.
